Enable Jooma 2FA using Google Authenticator
How to enable Jooma Two-factor Authentication (2FA) using Google Authenticator. Enable Joomla MFA Verification code system plugin, install Google Authenticator app and register for MFA by scanning the QR code on your mobile phone.

System - Manage - Plugins
Make sure the MFA Verification code plugin is enabled.
2. Install Google Authenticator app
In this example, we are setting up Joomla 2FA using a verification code from the Google Authenticator mobile app
Install the Google Authenticator app on your mobile phone from the Play Store (Android) or Apple App Store (iPhone)

3. Add new verification code
You will get prompted to set up 2FA at first logon
Add a new verification code
4. Scan the QR code on your mobile phone

5. Enter verification code from mobile app
Enter the 6 digit verification code from the mobile app
Save & Close
6. Copy MFA backup codes
Click "Print these codes" to show your MFA backup codes
Copy the 2FA backup codes and save them in your password manager
7. Check if MFA is enabled for a user
Users - Manage
Multi-factor Authentication is enabled
