Create a bootable DOS USB drive with Rufus on Windows 10
How to create a bootable FreeDOS (MS-DOS) USB drive with Rufus on Windows 10
I'm creating a bootable DOS USB drive to install a BIOS update in this example.
Download the latest version of Rufus
https://rufus.ie
Device: Select your USB drive
Boot selection: FreeDOS
Click start to create a FreeDOS bootable USB drive
Once the bootable USB has been created, you can copy the files you want to use onto the drive.
In this example, I'm copying the BIOS firmware and batch file flash.bat
You may have to temporarily change these BIOS options to boot from a DOS USB drive:
Secure boot: Disabled
Boot mode: Legacy
Secure boot: Disabled
Boot mode: Legacy
