Change how often Joomla sends "Joomla update available for Website" emails
This guide will show you how to change Joomla update notifications from every 6 hours to 24 hours to reduce the number of notification emails you get.
Joomla sends a notification email when a new update is available. That's a good thing because keeping your website up to date with the latest bug fixes and security updates is best practice.
However, Joomla will send an email every 6 hours to notify you that updates are available if you manage a few websites that can generate a lot of emails and you'll keep getting emails every 6 hours until you upgrade Joomla!

Change Joomla Update Notifications
System - Global Configuration
Installer - Preferences
Updates Caching (in hours) 24
The maximum you can set is 24 hours. This setting affects all updates, including extension updates.
Turning off updates by disabling the "System - Joomla! Update Notification" plugin is not recommended. Instead, you should keep your website up to date by installing the latest updates as soon as possible.
